In 2022, a nounish alternative to ENS (Ethereum Name Service) was introduced - the Nouns Name Service, or NNS. This new name service allowed users to create yourname.⌐◨-◨. The .⌐◨-◨ is your entry point to the NNS ecosystem. It allows you to attach the legendary noggles to your on-chain identity and be resolved as yourname.⌐◨-◨ in the Nouniverse and across a growing list of platforms.

At launch, all numbers below 10,000 were reserved by the team. Numbers below 1,000 are held for the Nouners owning the corresponding Noun ID. In 2023, the NNS team launched the Nounish Club and began distributing these names to active contributors to the nouniverse who offer special perks to other members of the Nounish Club. The Club is formed around the idea of shared value, where everyone gets access to an ever growing set of perks, which is freely and collectively provided by its most active members.
